Circus is originally elitist adult entertainment. Fortunately, we have gotten rid of that elitist attitude. Unfortunately, many people think that circus is for children. That is why we do not focus 100% on children. Magic Circus is fun for children too.

Every year Magic Circus appears in regions of Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Leiden and Utrecht. Magic Circus, always nearby. Do not miss it!

Magic Circus does not have a community or fan club. But we do have the Magic Stalkers who not only visit us every year but also follow us online. Naturally, future Magic Stalkers can also follow the adventures of the Magic Team on Facebook, Instagram en TikTok!

Magic Circus – Every year new and surprising

Every year the Magic Team presents a completely new production in the Magic Dome Circus tent. Intimate circus, down to the last detail, where everyone can sit right on top of it. Old and young are lured from behind their screens to immerse themselves into live entertainment. Time to live and experience together, to have fun together and to make memories that can be cherished forever. And affordable too! No wonder Ernest Hemingway wrote: “The circus is the only fun you can buy that is good for you.”

In 2026, we enchant our audience with BOLA. Bola is the word for ‘ball’ in many world languages. A performance featuring artists from, among others: Australia, Denmark, Germany, Finland, the Netherlands, Poland, and Switzerland.

OUR HISTORY

From past to present

Magic Circus was founded in 1987 and has since grown into the oldest and most modern tent circus in the Netherlands. In 2025, circus director Maurice Veldkamp was awarded the Netherlands’ highest circus distinction: the Oscar Carré Trophy, for his unique circus and the courage to still take his magical circus world out on tour every year for a full season.

This guarantees our customers that at the Magic Circus they pay only once. We have no sponsors as we choose to work free and completely independent. We are proud to be the last travelling tent circus of Dutch origin that tours a complete season. We are even prouder that this is possible year in, year out because enough people visit us.
